Our Full XL Loft Beds do not automatically ship with a mattress, but any commercially available extra long full size innerspring mattress will fit the bed frame. We recommend a mattress with a thickness of 8-12 inches. Our loft beds do not require a box spring, but for memory foam mattresses, we do recommend using a piece of wood to create a flat service or adding extra slats. We can include a 1/8” thick masonite board with your order for $95 or additional slats for $95. Please request these options in the Special Instructions section during checkout.
We do sell our own memory foam mattresses that can be purchased with your bed. Like our bed frames, every 10-inch mattress is custom made to order. You can choose from five different firmness settings to match your preference, and the interior layers of the mattress are not glued together, so they can be moved around to configure the most comfortable arrangement for you or your guests. This can even include having a different arrangement on each side of the mattress.
Mattresses can be added to your order as Accessories when you’re building your bed, or purchased separately here.
Please note that our mattresses ordered as Accessories are automatically shipped with Medium firmness, but you can request a different firmness option in the Special Instructions section at checkout.

The bed is extremely sturdy and easily held my family of four for a weight test (around 600 pounds). The bed was easy to put together by myself and the video tutorial on the website was easy to follow. It’s a minimalist piece - no frills, but modern and sleek and completely transforms the room, literally doubling the amount of usable floor space. Customer service in ordering and shipping the bed was top notch. The reasons I can’t give it 5 stars: - Overly expensive. Granted, far sturdier than any other loft bed I had considered purchasing which provides peace of mind. Still, $3100 for a loft bed is about $1000 too much. - Had a few nicks in the aluminum legs upon removing from the box. Noticeable upon close inspection, but once you see them, you unfortunately can’t not see them. - The ladder is very sturdy but the rungs are hard metal which hurts the feet when climbing up and down. Seems they could come up with some soft non-skid padding to place on the rungs. - The side rail is secured with a set screw on each end of the rail. While it has held sturdy thus far, I cringe whenever my daughter leans on the rail, afraid those set screws might slip. To be fair, they haven’t moved in the month it’s been up, but for $3100 I would think a more solid connection could be engineered. Overall very happy with the bed, thus far. Would recommend purchasing, but perhaps wait for a substantial sale.

I had done a ton of research and looked at a lot of different options before buying my California King loft. And though this is a pricey purchase, I'm exceedingly happy with the result. The loft has completely transformed my little apartment, and I created a perfect office space underneath. As promised, it is extremely sturdy, well built, and looks great. I had no problem assembling it with a friend and the online instructional video was easy to follow. I'd say it took about three to four hours to set up. I do have a couple of issues: 1) The "tacks" they sent to attach the cloth to cover the slats were basically nails and I found them unusable. That was an easy fix using a staple gun instead. 2) The biggest issue for me was the ladder. I wavered on whether to spend the extra money on the stairs...I wish I had. Though again the ladder was very sturdy and easy to assemble, I found it extremely awkward to climb down. After a few days of trying to make it work, I bought a six-foot step ladder that matched the color of the loft. I used heavy-duty zip ties to attach it to the foot of the loft. So now instead of having to climb down backwards, I can step down which feels much safer and less awkward. If I were buying the loft again, I would spend the extra money for the stairs instead of the ladder. But overall, absolutely 5 stars. Terrific product, highly recommended.
