Bunk Beds for Beach Houses

Lead Times
The current delivery lead time for our beds is approximately 6-8 weeks from when we receive the order.

Packaging Adult Bunk Beds arrive in seven (7) boxes. Accessories arrive in separate boxes with your order.

Delivery Options We offer three convenient delivery options that are available for most orders.

• Free Standard Shipping: Curbside delivery via UPS Ground or LTL freight. Transit time is approximately 5-10 business days. We recommend having at least one other person on hand to help receive a freight delivery.
• Free In-Home Delivery: Scheduled delivery to room of choice. Includes delivery up two flights of stairs. Transit time is approximately 1-3 weeks.
• White Glove Delivery: In-home delivery and assembly for $495 per bed. Our partners unpack, inspect, and put your new bed(s) together. Includes delivery up two flights of stairs. Transit time is approximately 1-3 weeks.

All three options are available in the 48 contiguous United States. Restrictions may apply. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada is available for a fee.

Rush Shipping: Many orders are also available with Rush Shipping. For $750 per bed, your order ships within 15 business days.

Restrictions and Additional Fees We may request an additional payment if shipping to your address is more expensive than similar zip codes. We will not add this charge without first giving you the opportunity to cancel the order for a full refund.

Please notify us in advance of any special delivery requirements or circumstances. This includes high rise buildings, long driveways, gated access, restricted times, and more. You can leave day-of delivery information in the Special Instructions section during checkout.

Our Adult Bunk Beds don’t come standard with mattresses, but any regular innerspring mattress will fit the bed frame. We recommend a mattress with a thickness of 8-12 inches. Adult Bunk Beds don’t need a box spring.

Memory Foam Mattresses
If you plan to use memory foam mattresses, you’ll need a flat surface to keep the mattress from sinking into the slats. We offer two options.

The first is two 1/8” thick masonite boards for $165. This includes one for each sleeping platform. The second option is to buy additional slats for $190. These options are available as Accessories when you build your bed.

Francis Lofts & Bunks Custom Made Mattresses
We sell our own memory foam mattresses that you can purchase with your Adult Bunk Bed. Like our bed frames, every 10-inch mattress is custom made to order. You have the option to choose from five firmness options based on your preference.

Mattresses can be added to your order as Accessories when you’re building your bed, or purchased separately here.

Please note: When ordered as an Accessory, our mattresses come standard with Medium firmness. You can request a different firmness option in the Notes section during checkout.

We can build bunk beds to any custom dimensions within reason. If the size that you’re looking for isn’t available on our website, you can contact us directly with your request. We do charge an additional fee of $65, plus $40 per foot.

We consider a bed “custom” if we build it to any size not offered on our website. Beds with trundles also qualify as “custom” because builders must construct them to a special height.

Ladder
You can detach the ladder and use it anywhere on the bunk bed. However, if the top and bottom bunks have different sizes, you cannot use the side where the bottom bunk sticks out. It securely clips to the aluminum frame and will not move when it’s in use.

The standard for beds built for a 9’ ceiling is for the ladder to extend 20” from the end of the bed. We offer a shorter version that extends 13 inches from the bed at no additional cost. For $30, we can create a ladder that extends only 6 inches from the bed frame. This option is available as an Accessory when you build your bed.

Staircase
For an additional fee, you can add a matching wooden staircase to your Adult Bunk Bed. The staircase supports up to 500 lbs. It also has open cubbies beneath the steps for extra storage space. You can also add a handrail for the staircase as an Accessory when building your bed.

The dimensions of the different staircase options are:
4 steps: 8’ or 9’ beds are 60” long x 21” wide x 48” high
5 steps: 10’ beds are 60” long x 21” wide x 60” high
