I love my loft bed and wish I had bought it sooner. I live in a small apartment but the price and location are right so I wanted to make it work better for working from home 3-4 days a week. My desk fits perfectly underneath and since I was able to get the 10’ ceiling height I am able to just barely walk under it (I’m 5’2”). It’s cozier and quieter than my living room/kitchen, especially with the mattress above. I got the staircase since I’m 50 and really didn’t want to go up and down a ladder. The staircase works and looks great, provides lots of storage space, and my cats are able to get up and down easily. My cats love being up there feeling like royalty up top looking down on their kingdom below and playing and hanging out on the stairs. The whole thing is very sturdy and comfortable and I sleep well being up above the windows and lights of my electronics. I got help dragging the boxes into my yard from where the truck driver left my pallet of goodies and with getting my mattress up on top but otherwise managed to put it together myself (but I recommend getting a friend to help if you aren’t as stubborn as me). I have a full mattress but will upgrade to a queen next time around so got a queen loft. This allows me 5” of extra space on the side for storage and on the end. I highly recommend this loft if you have a small space and want to create a cozy new space! I’m very pleased with my charcoal metal loft but if the wooden version had been out when I made my purchase I may have gone with that. Either way it’s great!

Absolutely amazing, rock-solid loft bed. My place is small and doesn't have a lot of storage and this bed was the answer. I had it customized to be lower, as in not as high as the 8ft ceiling option, and underneath, I placed my dressers and luggage and other infrequently used items. The end result is just fantastic. My ceilings are 8ft, but I didn’t want to be close to it. It takes me one minute to make the bed, and no one is hitting their head on the ceiling doing anything. It's a big commitment, but for me, it was worth it. Shipping to Canada was OK. It's always a drag dealing with 3rd parties, and you will need to budget about 1500 cad extra for shipping and duty. As I said, it's a huge commitment, but larger homes are so unaffordable, and this gives you the option of storage, or if you have higher ceilings, putting in a couch or table, or whatever. Instructions were super clear, took 2 people about 3 hours, start to finish. I would buy it again.
