We needed more space in my son's room, so we went vertical! He used to have a twin size bed, but we moved him up to a Full XL (he's tall!) with a headboard and tray, and upgraded to the bookshelf staircase (perhaps more for his parents than for him). We now have a fantastic new bookshelf/shoe shelf, as well as space under his bed for his new desk and computer. This bed was a lifesaver. It's very strong/sturdy and I feel safe having my son up high - especially with that nice guard rail!

The loft bed from Francis Lofts & Bunks is unbelievably satisfying: a) it is so low profile, some people haven't even noticed it's there (after they had left the room), b) it is high quality and doesn't budge, so two people can easily roll around without making the bed sway, c) it is beautiful in it's simple design.
