Does the California King Loft Bed require a special type of mattress?
No. The wooden slats support most innerspring California king size mattresses. For a memory foam mattress, you will need a solid surface to keep it from sinking. If you plan to use a memory foam mattress, you can add a 1/8” thick masonite board or extra slats to your order. These options are available in the Accessories tab above.Will I need a box spring?
Box springs are not necessary on the California King Loft Bed. In fact, we recommend not using one to avoid wasting valuable headspace.Are the x-braces required on the loft bed frame?
Yes. The x-braces are what make the California King Loft Bed stable and safe for adult use.How is the ladder attached to the bed frame?
The standard ladder is detachable and can be placed anywhere around the loft bed. It securely clips to the aluminum frame and will not move when it’s in use.How far does the ladder extend?
If your loft bed is built for a 9’ ceiling, the ladder extends 20” from the end of the bed. We also make a version that only extends 13” from the bed at no cost. I plan on sleeping on the top but setting up my tv, xbox and some bean bags lengthwise below so I have a kick ass entertainment cave. It's going to be totally awesome and a great use of my tiny 6' x 10' room. I can tell you that this bed is phenomenal. It's easily the nicest furniture I have ever purchased, the finish is smooth and glossy and you can tell it's the product of quality manufacturing. There are several small details I really like, such as the bed only using 1 size hex bolt for the main construction (the bed rail uses a smaller size for the set screws). This makes assembly easier as you only need the 2 tools that came with the bed to put it together. The individual parts are lightweight but sturdy aluminum, instead of steel, which makes the bed feel solid but not clunky. The bed is not cheap but you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stable, solid loft bed

I could not wait to write an excellent review for your company regarding my purchase on one of your loft beds I received a few days ago. As you quoted, it would take 3 weeks for the delivery and the time frame was met. Thru email, you kept us informed the product was being shipped, weight and unloading instructions was more than appreciated. I could hardly wait to put it together the next day and it only took a couple of hours. Of course, I had to carry it upstairs piece by piece, as it was heavy and, I'm 76 years old, but your bed is very sturdy as you advertised.
