This past weekend was quite the excitement in our hometown of Troy, Ohio. Troy was the headline of the music world for a few days as Gentlemen of the Road held their “Troy Stopover” here. Troy was one of only 5 cities in the world that the festival came to this year. Troy joined 4 other small communities to host this festival. For those of you who do not know about Troy, a small city of 26,000 people, we sure do love to support our hometown and have as much pride as any other city in the world!

The picture above is of Troy Memorial Stadium, home of the Troy Trojans. Our founder Ryan went to high school here along with myself. To see the stadium this full is just incredible, it is always packed for football games on Friday nights but nothing even close to this full! Downtown Troy was blocked off for the weekend and there were many food and beverage stands throughout the downtown area, along with two other stages in which smaller bands entertained crowds late into the night. Of course local restaurants and bars were getting their fair share of business, as guests from 48 different states and a handful of different countries came to check out Troy for the weekend!

Of course everyone was most excited for the headliner on Saturday, Grammy award winning Mumford & Sons. Over 30,000 people showed up to see them perform and clearly set stadium records for attendance. Other notable performances throughout the 3 day festival were: Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The Vaccines, and Old Crow Medicine Show. This weekend was truly one to remember an it was so great to see everyone come to our hometown of Troy and give us such great compliments on how beautiful and great of a city that we come from. This festival was such a hit that city officials are already talking about having another type of festival like this next year!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend as much as we did! Not only was the weather great but the experiences were ones to remember for the rest of our lives. And not to forget, we had tons of friends and family come into town to share this special weekend with. Those Queen over Queen Bunk Beds sure did come in handy to help everyone sleep great at night!
