Does the Twin Loft Bed require a special type of mattress?
No. The wooden slats support most innerspring twin-size mattresses. For a memory foam mattress, you will need a solid surface to keep it from sinking. If you plan to use a memory foam mattress, you can add a 1/8” thick masonite board or extra slats to your order. These options are available in the Accessories tab above.Will I need a box spring?
Box springs are not necessary on the Twin Loft Bed. In fact, we recommend not using one to avoid wasting valuable headspace.Are the x-braces required on the loft bed frame?
Yes. The x-braces are what make the Twin Loft Bed stable and safe for adult use.How is the ladder attached to the bed frame?
The standard ladder is detachable and can be placed anywhere around the loft bed. It securely clips to the aluminum frame and will not move when it’s in use.How far does the ladder extend?
If your Twin Loft Bed is built for a 9’ ceiling, the ladder extends 20” from the end of the bed. We also make a version that only extends 13” from the bed at no cost. This bed is da bomb!!! My hub and I both head up to say goodnight to our 9 yr old each night. It's sturdy and the absolute best use of money. We are never worried with her up there. It's secure and never wobbles. We love it!!!
