For over a year now, fans of online lifestyle influencers Ellie and Jared Mecham have been excitedly following along with the construction of their family’s brand new home via their popular YouTube channel.
The Mechams have tirelessly documented all of the highs and lows that come with building a dream house, but now that it’s all said and done and the family is fully moved in, they’ve been sharing the results of their hard work with their audience through a series of in-depth room reveal videos that breakdown the different design decisions they made for each unique space in the house.
In the video below, they tour their son Calvin’s room (the biggest in the house), which you may notice is anchored by his brand new charcoal-colored Queen Over Queen Adult Bunk Bed from Francis Lofts & Bunks.
Calvin and Ellie dive into the practical reasons for utilizing such a heavy-duty bunk bed in this room, which includes looking toward a future where they will have already have space ready to sleep a sibling if the family decides to add a new baby to their ranks. And even in the present, the bunk bed has already been occupied overnight a number of times by one of Calvin’s brothers, who just likes sleeping there because it’s so fun.
The family also plan to use Calvin’s room as a sort of quasi-guest room from time-to-time. For example, at the end of the month, the Mechams have multiple family members visiting at once. Jared’s parents will already be in the primary guest room, so Ellie’s sister and her family will stay in Calvin’s room to take advantage of the expanded sleeping options provided by the Queen Over Queen Bunk Bed.
