Does the Queen Loft Bed require a special type of mattress?
No. The wooden slats support most innerspring queen size mattresses. For a memory foam mattress, you will need a solid surface to keep it from sinking. If you plan to use a memory foam mattress, you can add a 1/8” thick masonite board or extra slats to your order. These options are available in the Accessories tab above.Will I need a box spring?
Box springs are not necessary on the Queen Loft Bed. In fact, we recommend not using on to avoid wasting valuable headspace.Are the x-braces required on the loft bed frame?
Yes. The x-braces are what make the Queen Loft Bed stable and safe for adult use.How is the ladder attached to the bed frame?
The standard ladder is detachable and can be placed anywhere around the loft bed. It securely clips to the aluminum frame and will not move when it’s in use.How far does the ladder extend?
If your loft bed is built for a 9’ ceiling, the ladder extends 20” from the end of the bed. We also make a version that only extends 13” from the bed at no cost. Absolutely amazing, rock-solid loft bed. My place is small and doesn't have a lot of storage and this bed was the answer. I had it customized to be lower, as in not as high as the 8ft ceiling option, and underneath, I placed my dressers and luggage and other infrequently used items. The end result is just fantastic. My ceilings are 8ft, but I didn’t want to be close to it. It takes me one minute to make the bed, and no one is hitting their head on the ceiling doing anything. It's a big commitment, but for me, it was worth it. Shipping to Canada was OK. It's always a drag dealing with 3rd parties, and you will need to budget about 1500 cad extra for shipping and duty. As I said, it's a huge commitment, but larger homes are so unaffordable, and this gives you the option of storage, or if you have higher ceilings, putting in a couch or table, or whatever. Instructions were super clear, took 2 people about 3 hours, start to finish. I would buy it again.

I've had this bed for over a year now and I can't believe it's been that long! It still looks and feels brand new. I scratched it while assembling it but I can't find the scratch now and I have managed with very little effort to not damage it over the year since. I chose white and it blends really nicely with the walls, too. It was pretty easy to assemble with the help of a friend. This is mainly because items are bulky. It didn't otherwise require special strength and was no more complicated to assemble than a bed frame from IKEA. Simpler, actually, due to the video and clearly marked components. As a California native my first concern with loft beds is EARTHQUAKES. I chose this bed for its safety. The construction of this loft bed resembles our Bay Area bridges, it should flex but not break during an earthquake, which is ideal. From daily use I have never so much as seen or heard it budge. It doesn't creak, it doesn't move, it is solid as a rock! I feel more concerned about my cat or myself falling off due to our own stupidity than from an earthquake. But the bed rails are VERY sturdy and I have never had a problem or cause for concern. This should last as many years as I need it. I purchased the tallest option to place a home office underneath. This has worked really well. I am nearly 6' tall and I can enter and exit by tilting my head. It definitely took some getting used to but, once in the office area, I have plenty of headroom and it feels quite separate and spacious. This bed has transformed my tiny apartment into a functional space and I don't know how I survived without it. My only concern is taking it with me to my next home!

My loft bed is wonderful! I ordered it in the summer 2023 and it's December now, so we've been enjoying it ever since! It provided so much more space in our room ,the staircase with cubbies was a perfect addition for storage! And our loft bed is so cozy I love it! We made a cool gaming/nail station under the bed. Everyone thinks it's so cool! The bed is sturdy and strong. It was easy to build, we found the instructional video on YouTube. This was a big purchase! But I guess I can say it was worth it. Two things I would say that I didn't like was the customer service because the communication wasn't that great. Some responses were delayed even though they read my message, and the attitude wasn't right as if they were annoyed that I was asking questions (it's a big purchase, of course I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing) and the delivery process was weird. They tell you the boxes have to be in the house within 30 minutes and if the delivery guy is there more than that, you get charged...so weird! It's only one delivery guy, with heavy boxes, how could you time that? Poor guy was lucky I wasn't the only one there to help bring the boxes in, but it's so weird to time that and charge someone to bring heavy boxes inside within a certain timeframe. Also they tell you to book a 5 hr window of an appointment but show up late. I waited all day for the bed to get it LATE and build it before going to work. Crazy. Other than that, I love my bed!
