My 6' teenage son is extremely happy with his new loft bed. I'm having trouble actually getting him to come down!

we assembled the Queen Loft bed yesterday and it is super super sturdy ! The old bunk we bought at IKEA swayed and \"squeaked\" every time we touched the ladder, but this Francis loft bed did not make any sounds. the ladder is secure and the legs are super sturdy. I\'m giving this only 4 stars because of the terrible instruction manual. The pictures were tiny and while each \"part\" was labeled with a letter at the top legend, they were not referenced at all in the actual instructions. Most manufacturers have a stickered letter on the pieces so you know what you\'re dealing with. IKEA assembly booklets run for pages and pages, with enlarged view clearly showing which direction the holes should be facing (and how not to face them) to avoid error and having to \"take it apart and re-do.\" There isn\'t a picture of the \"final\" part diagram detailing where they considered what \"front\" vs. \"back\" was; so while we thought \"back\" legs meant \"foot board\" side, their \"back\" referred to the side of the bed that goes against the wall, furthest from you. Their first step was to assemble guard rail to \"front bed posts\" - but the pictures are so tiny, there was really NO way to know definitively which of the 4 legs were considered \"front\" - and needless to say we had to remount the brackets 2x before we got it right since we had bought an additional end guard rail. I think this should the LAST step once all of the pieces come together, and not the FIRST step when you can\'t even understand what they consider to be left / right / front / back. Altogether, took 2 of us 4-5 hours to full assemble due to bad instructions.

Even after reading the reviews about how solid this bed is, I can't believe how SOLID it actually is. You just can't make it move. The mattress on the bare floor is more wobbly than when in this bed. Awesome engineering. And speaking of awesome, it is a really cool feeling climbing up to bed at night. Feel like an eagle going to roost. :-) -jj

Amazing! I couldn't be more thrilled with the loft bed. I live in a tiny studio - this bed has allowed me to have a living room again - perfect for entertaining. It's modern and very spacious! I'm so happy I made this investment.

This loft is a solid beast. I travel a lot and move a lot, so have experienced sleep on all forms Ì¢âÂÛÏ fancy hotels, cheap motels, cots on deployment, etc. It seems any bed above ground level moves. Frames twist and squeak. Headboards flop and bang. Legs wobble and crack. Mattress boxes shift and slide. But when I return to my roost, all is calm and quiet. The only arrangement more solid than this loft is a sleeping bag on the bare earth. A good mattress on a Francis loft is rock stable. It doesnÌ¢âÂã¢t move! I bought this loft because I wanted to save space and have room underneath. I was not expecting the stability, but now appreciate it even more. Customer service after the sale has also been superb.

While a little pricey, these beds are manufactured precisely which allows for quick, simple assembly and load bearing capacity beyond anything else I've been able to find. In short, you get what you pay for and these are quality beds that will last through generations. I am completely satisfied with mine, and got the office space I needed in addition to a very comfortable queen size bed.

Just bought a Francis Loft bed for my small studio in downtown Chicago. I can't explain how awesome this bed is, It has become the centerpiece of my room! I am a larger male and this bed does not shake or move one bit. The strength and sturdiness is second to none... Thanks for making such a solid bed!!

I love my loft bed! In a studio apartment it's the perfect space solution! I can have friends over and entertain and it doesn't feel awkward like an uncomfortable futon to sit on or using a bed as a couch. It's very sturdy, although assembly does require two people(at least). Overall I couldn't be happier!
